In 1996, David Wolons founded Dawol Homes in Myrtle Beach, SC with a simple goal: build custom coastal homes people actually want to live in.
When the 2008 recession hit, most builders went bankrupt. We didn't. We kept building, kept our promises, and kept our reputation spotless.
Today, David's daughter Krissy Mauldin leads the company as President. She's bringing new ideas while keeping the values that made us last 30 years.

How long does it take to build a custom home?
Most of our custom homes are completed in 9-12 months from initial design to move-in. Your timeline depends on design complexity, permitting, and how quickly you make decisions on finishes. We'll give you a realistic timeline upfront—no overpromising.
How much does it cost to build a custom home in Myrtle Beach?
Our custom homes start at $500k (Cottage Series), $600k (Coastal Series), and $700k+ (Estate Series). Your final cost depends on home size, finishes, lot conditions, and customization level. We provide transparent pricing locked in writing—no surprise bills.
Do you build in areas outside Myrtle Beach?
Yes! We build throughout the Grand Strand and Georgetown County, including Carolina Forest, Pawleys Island, Surfside Beach, Murrells Inlet, Litchfield Beach, and rural areas like Conway, Aynor, and Loris. If you have a lot or are looking for one, give us a call and we'll let you know if we can build there.
Can I use my own floor plans or do I have to use yours?
You can do either! About 80% of our clients work with Krissy and our design team to create custom plans. The other 20% bring their own plans or choose from our coastal floor plan library and customize them. We're flexible—whatever works best for you.
